Landscape lighting design and installation

WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?

Now in our fourth year of landscape lighting expertise, we're thrilled to be a solution for anyone looking for a landscape lighting company in Denver and the surrounding areas. If you're looking to light up the night around your home, or business we can take you from rough ideas, to a beautiful nighttime oasis that extends the comfort of your home to the outdoors.

From path lighting and pin spots, to bistro lights and wall washes, landscape lighting is one of the most effective investments a property owner can make, with multiple benefits, both aesthetic and functional:

  •       Aesthetic: Properly designed landscape lighting has a dramatic impact on the way your home looks at night. Enjoy the tranquility of a well lit back yard oasis, or the majestic overtones of your front yard brought to life in the dark.

  •       Usability: The fun doesn't have to end just because the sun goes down. You've put a ton into making  your back yard amazing, now you can use that yard during the hours you're actually home and relaxing the most.

  •       Safety: A once dark stairwell safely leads you to a now fully functional nighttime patio, or a once treacherous walk from the car to the front door becomes effortless.

  •       Security: With no shadows to hide in, ne'er-do-wells think twice before setting foot on your property.

  •       Value: Add curb appeal to your home while enjoying all the benefits of a low maintenance system with outstanding warranties. Get your neighbors on board and watch the property value of the whole neighborhood go up by turning your dark cul-de-sac into a well lit, safe, comfort zone.

*Our extensive background in audio production as well as home automation also gives us bountiful knowledge and expertise to install outdoor a/v systems.  We can either simply add a few high-end “rock speakers” to your patio or garden or design you a whole immersive surround sound system with televisions.  Ask how we can help with your outdoor system.

A little more about who we are:

We have been working together for years,  started out of a small home office in Denver Colorado, sandwiched in between Central Park, City Park, and Hill Top in a small vibrant neighborhood called Park Hill. Dedication to our clients, doing what we say we'll do, and making sure the job is done right have been just a handful of the reasons our clients regularly give us great reviews, and come back to our services again and again. We've also got one or two of the most experienced landscape lighting designers in the entire region in our back pocket to ensure your space turns out perfect! OUTSTANDING FIXTURES AND A FOCUS ON THE FUTURE

We focus on high quality light fixtures, with consistent color temperatures, and durability made to withstand the harsh outdoor elements. Speaking of elements, the bulbs we use within those fixtures are all low voltage LED bulbs. Green for the environment, easy on your energy bill, and long lasting.

We're also always cognizant of the future, thinking about how fixture placement changes as a tree grows, or how you may want to add some bistro lights to that dream pergola at the other end of the yard. Utilizing systems and techniques that allow for ease of maintenance, and change over time is one of our primary focuses.

DURABILITY AND CONTROL

We use lights with rugged metal construction that will last. Most of the fixtures we choose to work with are solid brass, copper, or aluminum construction. We also have several powder coated, or even hand painted color options. All fixtures we install are hardwired for long lasting, consistent performance and control of the lighting system. Every fixture we sell is backed by outstanding warranties.

FAQS

WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN?

Our focus is primarily on designing, installing, and maintaining outdoor lighting for residential homes, and commercial projects. We're also happy to take a look at existing landscape lighting systems that may need a bit of a face lift. From the front of the house to the furthest reaches of the backyard, we enjoy taking the dark spaces outside, and turning them into beautiful, usable space. Functional, easy and safe to move around in, and comfortable to enjoy.

HOW MUCH DOES A CONSULTATION COST?

This can vary a bit depending on your project! We're happy to have the opportunity to bring your ideas, (or lack thereof), to life. Expect our initial site preview to last between a half hour to an hour and a half depending on the scope of your project. We'll gather details on your vision, mix them with our expertise, and gather information about the dimensions of the project area. Often times, we'll also set up a night demo, utilizing the same, or similar fixtures we'll use on your install. This allows you to see what your outdoor lighting project will actually look like, and also gives you the chance to experiment with different lighting effects and fixture placement. Most consultations are free, sometimes an in depth night demo appointment can run around $250 to cover the labor our guys put into making things pop, but that will usually be later in the process, and we'll have talked about that with you beforehand. Not all displays will require a night demo.

From there we'll put together a quote along with an outline of the scope of the project which typically takes one to two weeks.

HOW LONG DOES AN AVERAGE PROJECT TAKE?

It very much depends on the scope of the project. We estimate that the entire project, from initial site visit, to final flip of the switch will take from 2.5 weeks to a full eight weeks. This includes;

-A 1-2 week quote and design period.

-Edit of the final project design, and approval process.

-Product order and shipping time.

-A rough 3 day to two week installation process*.

-Final tweaks and light beam focusing/Programming

*Varies by scope of project.

Meet The Team

SEAN MURRAY

Owner/Designer

Sean, a Colorado native, has spent the past ten years working in the live event industry as a live audio engineer and lighting designer, which he is still actively involved in. Bringing to life events large and small, of every type from weddings, and speaking engagements, to concerts and large festivals. For the past eight years, he has also run the Denver based company Chilly Lights. Designing and installing vivid holiday lighting displays to happy homes and happy clients was largely what led to the creation of LÅ«me. Of course, in the early days, Sean had those regular ol' manual labor jobs young people will, including two years of doing some of the gnity gritty facets of landscaping work outdoors.

In his free time Sean loves to live it up Colorado style; camping, hiking, fly fishing, checking out new craft breweries, getting back to his roots playing some guitar, and trying to keep pucks out of the net goaltending at the local ice rink a few times a week year 'round.

RYAN FLATTERY

Lead Technician

Ryan joined LÅ«me in the summer of 2020 and never looked back. Hailing from Connecticut, he brings knowledge to our team that sets us far beyond the rest. His expertise stems from a lifetime of customer service. His landscaping experience is fueled with creativity and a desire to exceed expectations.

Ryan's favorite part of LÅ«me is seeing the happy faces of his customers after a job well done. His easy going disposition supports in customer satisfaction, as he sincerely listens while on the job.

When he isn’t shedding light on beautiful landscapes throughout the greater Denver area, you can find him at a local comedy show or diving into the latest true crime podcasts.

In his free time, Justin works on the home he and his wife(Sarah) purchased last year.  As far back as he can remember Justin has had an affinity for anything and everything automotive.  The two of them enjoy eating at and experiencing the new restaurants and cuisines that are popping up everyday in Denver and the Front Range.
